Our mission and tour to Mombasa (Diani Beach) was one of the most successful missions we have ever had. We have witnessed men and women give their lives to Jesus. Drug addicts, homosexuals and armed bandits have been overwhelmed by the grace of God and surrendered. The most challenging situations are that most of the new born again drug dealers have been major players in these drug cartels. Therefore, they are bound by an oath of death by the sword when one exits the cartel.
Recently John Ouma, accepted Christ but what begot him has traumatized us all. After the Wednesday fellowship in our campsite, at about 8.30 pm. We had a little chat with John who was battling with the instant stopping of cocaine. He was always sweating, pale and his body always burning since he had retreated the hard drug. To cut the long story short while he was heading to his house, some of the colleagues in the cartel attacked him. It was so tragic since he was being slaughter at a gunpoint but was rescued by a police in patrol who almost got shot as they exchanged fire with these robbers. Fortunately, he was brought back to the camp in a mess.
The bandits had a deep cut on his neck which tempered with the External jugular vein. The high cocaine abuse has also damaged his kidney and doctors preferred a kidney transplant first they processed with the other treatment.
His condition is not very stable since he requires a lot of blood donation as well monetary to keep him in the hospital ICU.
I hereby ask everyone to help John recover by every small donation you make, this is a treatment that will be rather expensive but me and several other well wishers have been given portions of contribution by our committee so as to mobilize people to settle his bill. Make him a testimony that God sent his son Jesus Christ that we may have live and have it to the fullest.
