I have extended the campaign aa it has not reached the target.

Sok San Primary School need your help!

The community is trying to raise funds to complete a library in the school yard for the kids and community to use.

To complete the project they still require funding for basic essentials like walls, windows, doors, bookshelves, tables and chairs for the students inside and outside.

There is an itemised list of expenditure needed, including costs associated. To the western community, the costs are small, but to the Khmer community, the costs are so big, almost unreachable on an average man's salary.

Please dig deep and help make a difference to a community that will open their hearts with gratitude for every dollar raised.

About Me;

Some years ago I fell in love with Cambodia. The people, the culture, the community, the history, the villages and the lifestyle. Cambodia is a special part of Asia, and I like many others before, left a piece of my heart after every visit with views of returning.

I did just that!

In 2022 I returned to Cambodia with my best friend of 30 years and introduced him to the beauty of Koh Rong Island with all intentions of making him fall as deeply as I did. He did. Together we invested in a small eco guesthouse and we now call Sok San, Koh Rong Island, Cambodia our home.

Sok San is a small beach village on the island of Koh Rong. It is about 40 minutes from the mainland (Sihanoukville) by speedboat and home to a handful of locals and expats living a simple life off the land. It has limited power, limited water and minimal to no local facilities.

The Khmer are very kind people. They opened their community to John and I, welcoming us everywhere we we with open arms. In such a short time, we became a part of a very big and warm family, and we love it.

I am very touched by such a welcome from a community with little more to give than hearts overflowing with grace and gratitude, and this is my way of giving back.

If together, we can make a difference to a small village, to help the children and the community by providing funds to build a much needed building for the children to read and learn in, and for the community to gather, that would be amazing.

Please dig deep. Every donation counts and every donation is appreciated. Thank you 🙏

* I will update photos soon of the school, the classrooms and the teachers and students of Sok San Primary School.
