HELP FAMILY IN DISTRESS

"Like everyone else, we came to this country with high hopes of finding jobs & improving our family's financial condition.

Everything was looking good until 2016 as we both had jobs and were able to provide a decent life to our family here in UAE and help our ailing mother in India. Likewise, this country has been a second home to us as many others from around the world.

However, due to the IT industry's recession in 2016, my husband lost his job, and we had to stay back home to take care of my newborn baby. We didn't have any income source during this period and had exhausted all of our savings & our credit card debts amounted to over US $80,000 due to the bank interest charges and overdue payments.

We are still unemployed & looking for jobs. As we are aware, after the pandemic, the job situation is very chaotic and uncertain. Also, banks kept us calling to pay back the dues. Nonetheless, we are in no position to pay back our debts since we went bankrupt. Our children couldn't attend school as we couldn't afford to pay for their tuition fee. At times we had no food for them.

Our sorrows kept on increasing, and we felt there was no end to this suffering. At some point we also thought of putting an end to this miserable life. However, we couldn't muster the courage to do so because of our kids. Amidst all this chaos, our mother passed away after suffering a heart attack in India. This blow left us completely broken with low self-confidence and couldn't cope with this loss and made us lose all other scopes of opportunities.

Subsequently, we were caught in a maze and left with only one option, i.e., is to stay back in this country as there was a travel ban. We were stuck in the debt trap & had no idea how to come out of this as no one could guide us through this darkness. Our visas are about to expire now in October & we have no money to renew them. We are trying to make ends meet, our family & friends have helped to some extent but we are still falling short of funds. Requesting support to clear our outstanding dues so that we are free of legal issues & be able to go back to home country.

We are requesting noble souls & good Samaritans to help us come out of this mental state of mind.
