We are raising funds for my wife Joanne Onate to cover the costs for her treatment (Chemotherapy sessions, hospital bills and other medical needs). She has been diagnosed with Stage IV Breast Cancer with Bone Metastasis which primarily affects her Spinal Cord & Legs.

Joanne's Story

Joanne has 3 kids aged 18, 13 & 12. We have been a happy and healthy family since then. She have been a hands on mom & wife to our family until her condition suddenly worsened.

Joanne has experienced a Heart attack last January 2019 which leads us to pursue with Heart tests first. It was seen in her angiogram that she was a candidate for angioplasty. We have then continued for further tests to know her exact condition but during this period it was noted that she was already starting to feel weak. With the advise from the doctors we have continued with the assumption that her sickness was in her heart.

By the start of 2020, she was already starting to limp and feel a way lot more weaker and was already bed ridden.

By March 2020, we have already tested her for biopsy but there have been delays for her results to be out because of the current pandemic. We then received the results of her biopsy by April 25 and it revealed that she already has a Stage IV Malignant Breast Cancer.

Within the last 2 months it was noted that her cancer cells are really active and was already targeting her Spinal Cord & Legs. Without the proper medical attention her legs has a great possibility of being AMPUTATED from her knees down.

She has already undergone her first chemotherapy session last June 2 but will be needing AT LEAST 9 CYCLES. Her 2nd session for her 1st cycle is scheduled by next week.

She has been in so much pain and was crying and moaning everyday because of the pain she have been feeling. She have been very afraid and anxious on what could happen next not only for her but also for her family especially her kids.

Our kids are also starting to feel depressed and anxious as the condition of their mom worsens. Our oncologist recommends that her Chemotherapy Sessions would be continued until the last session as she may amputate her legs if we cannot complete her sessions.

Furthermore, her doctor advised us that she should undergone mastectomy for both her breasts as both of them have an active cancer cells.

Her battle for her life has just begun, and we see a long and difficult battle not only for her but most especially to our kids. Our family have been put to test by God. As we still seek for the meaning of this test to our family, we seek for your support, Financially & in Faith.

No mother or person should ever endure this kind of sickness. We as a family are not only praying for Joanne but for all the Cancer Patients .

We know that we are currently in a pandemic but here we are knocking on your doors to help us. No help or support will be deemed too small. However you may wish to support Joanne during this time, this will make sure that she will continue to live her life and would at least make her children have more faith in God and in life.
