Campaign Story
Our Global Friends,
My name is Dai, founder of Japan Localized, a free walking tour company in Japan.
Three years ago, I started to run free walking tours in Tokyo. I wanted to share the rich culture of Japan and my love of the city of Tokyo.
Travelers can experience and know Tokyo from the local perspective, and we were selected as the Best Activities and Tours in Japan 2019 from Trip Advisor.
Over +50,000 travelers joined our tours, and they all fell in love with the city of Tokyo.
See our website below.
Tokyo Localized
In 2019, I decided to quit my finance full time job to put all of my passion into showing my country, and to spread this free walking tours out to Japan.
I started to run tours in Kyoto 2019 summer, Osaka 2020 spring, and was planning to expand to Hiroshima 2020 summer.
See our website below.

We provide the best experience to our guests, and contribute to the locals. This is our responsibility.
But now with COVID-19, we are out of business and we need your help.
The most important assets are our local tour guides, and the locals who are living. I cannot run this business without them.
Some of our local tour guides are doing this job as a full time, and they are struggling to find a temporary job during this pandemic. On the other hand, local shops, especially souvenir shops for tourists are struggling too.
I want to take action to support them.
Our local guides will write a letter to you using a beautiful "Washi", a Japanese traditional paper bought from the local shops.
This will create a job for our local guides, support the local shops, and maintain our brand and business, and we will give you back the below.
¥2,000- Thank you letter using beautiful Japanese "Washi"
We will send you a beautiful letter using Japanese traditional paper called washi from a famous brand in Kyoto.
¥7,000 - paid tour per person free!
You can join Tokyo Old Quarter Walking Tour and can experience the real life of Tokyo. Voucher will be sent within the thank you letter.
Also you can give it to anyone who's coming to Tokyo but expires 2022 Dec.
¥10,000- private walking tour up to 5 people
Our local guide will give you the best experience in Japan when everything gets back to normal. You can choose one of the tour from all of our tours which is listed on Tokyo & Kyoto Localized. Voucher will be sent within the thank you letter.
Also you can give it to anyone who's coming to Tokyo or Kyoto, but expires 2022 Dec.
The money will be use for buying letters from a local shop in Kyoto, and for the local guides to work for writing the letter for you, and left is for the rent fee to maintain the business.
We really appreciate every support from all of you now and will give back our best when everything is back to normal.
See you in Japan soon.
Sincerely,
Dai Miyamoto

Hi Guys and Girls! I hope your all safe and well. I really wanted to return to Japan this year for more sightseeing with you guys and to see a Band Maid concerts which was cancelled. Also it's highly unlikely that I will be able to travel overseas from Australia because of the Covid-19 till next year. Good luck and kind regards Clive R Hawkes.
