Help us to reach more people with HIV in remote areas in Banten

We are a local non profit organization that focused on reaching out and helping people with HIV, and also encouraging people to conduct the test. it is sometimes very hard to do so, since many areas are remote and hard to reach. many people with positive HIV are also from the low income earner and hence it is very hard for them to access more funds to purchase additional food suplement and medication.

in banten alone, we have seen 7.336 cases of HIV, and more are unreported due to the fear of persecution and discrimination. sadly, prejudice and harassment is daily routine suffered by the key population, and hence many of them are afraid to open up and get tested for the virus. what is even harder for us is that, not many clinics available in the region, and even less which provides the VCT, and hence many people in remote areas are having a hard time to get the ARV.

moreover, majority of the people who suffered from HIV are also from the low income earner, and thus making it very difficult for them to access additional medication and food, as the person with HIV will require more nutrient and vitamin in order to preserve their health quality. such additional food and vitamin supplies are not provided with any aids, be it government or private one.

Yayasan Bina Muda Gemilang will continue to fight and protect the quality of lives of the key population, which a big part of them consists of Gay and Transwomen. living with HIV is already hard as it is, but we will make sure that each one of them can have their own happiness we are all deserved.
