B-Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia --- We received news that was a shock to our family - news that sounded so random but at the same time horrifying because of that one word 'Leukemia'. Weeks ago, Lance was rushed to the hospital, completely frail, almost unconscious and white as a sheet. We thought it was an episode of dengue however after a series of tests where he was transferred to another hospital to get a 2nd opinion and make sure everything was accurate, we were not prepared for the worst. August 22nd Lance was diagnosed of cancer but it was only a week after that the exact kind was determined. His WBC is immature (for an adult) and they rupture aggressively that they overflow off the bone marrow. He is to undergo Chemotherapy EVERY WEEK FOR 2 YEARS.

WE KNOCK ON YOUR HEART OF HEARTS to help us with funds or any bit of assistance that can help us sail through this most difficult time. He will undergo treatment in PGH (Philippine General Hospital) and we trust that the specialists will do their best with the grace of our Lord to make this a success. We pray that in less than 2 years Lance will be cancer-free. All your help is welcome (meds, NGOs, maintenance, etc.).

Our guy has just graduated this year, a feat that was bittersweet. He's the 'Kuya' second child of a pack of four. The Kuya who struggled and succeeded against the odds. He poured his heart out reviewing for the Board supposedly taken last month until the sad news. His recovery is a miracle as 2nd day to his confinement he was already up and discharged from ICU. Thank you for your continued prayers/help and we need more of it every single day. He is physically, emotionally, and mentally preparing for his first chemo and we are hoping you could include him in your prayers. We feel your love and we wish you can join the journey with us.
