Today marks Tatay's one month being hospitalized. He undergone tracheotomy early this morning and it went very smoothly.

Tracheotomy or tracheostomy is a surgical procedure of making an incision (cut) on the anterior aspect (front) of the neck and opening a direct airway through an incision in the trachea (windpipe).

We are very hopeful that this procedure will pave the way to win him off easily from the ventilator. Though his BP went below normal, he's currently taking fluids to normalize everything.

Thank you very much for those who have extended their prayers for the success of Tatay's operation.

As we already maxed out our HMO assistance, we have decided to transfer hospital to minimize our expenses. But as we waited for any vacancy in the hospital that we are transferring to, we eventually tripled up our bill. We have asked for our total bill amounting to more than half million and deducted his PWD discount and HMO assistance. Not to mention the haggling and the negotiations we have done to lessen up the expenses. We then added every single help that we have received from family, friends, colleagues, former schoolmates and those who were touched by his story and gave donations online to accumulate for the remaining amount that we need to pay. However, it wasn't sufficient that we have processed for a promisory note instead just to transfer hospital yesterday.

Below is the final diagnosis of Tatay upon discharge at Qualimed Hospital Iloilo:

Acute Respiratory Failure Type 2 Secondary to Neuromuscular Weakness; Hospital Acquired Pneumonia; Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis

Currently, we are at ICU Isolation at West Visayas State University Medical Center or frequently called Don Benito. Treatment is being continued for his Acute Respiratory Failure. He's still on ventilator and intubated yet we are already done with his antibiotics for his Hospital Acquired Pneumonia.

Visiting Hours: 10am-11am and 5pm-6pm

Still, we are humbly asking for any donations that you may extend. It will be a great help for us to pay for our balance at Qualimed at the same time aid our everyday expenses at Don Benito.

Your prayers are very much welcome. We truly believe that miracles do happen. Please help us pray for it. 😍🙏

Another day to battle with but praise the Lord for a new hope. Tatay is still conscious, he gets to sleep, eat through NGT, and respond to questions quickly by nodding his head. Though his potassium went down 2 days ago, he's already stable as of the moment. Hemoglobin went below normal rate as well yesterday, but he was able to undergo blood transfusion last night bringing his hemoglobin back to its normal rate.

Still, his pneumonia is being treated with a higher dosage already after a week of medication. Furthermore, he's still intubated and on ventilator.

We would like to thank those who have helped us through this battle, to our family and friends, and including those anonymous individuals who shared their blessings by helping us financially through our fundraising campaign online and through social media.

As we are still battling against ALS, we are humbly asking your generous hearts for any amount that you can extend as it will be a great help for us to trim down our struggles to pay for the hospital bill which is running 500K now. We are very much open as well to prayers and intentions for his fast recovery.

Thank you very much!

Tatay is still conscious, since day 2, yet he's experiencing some minor problems with his hemoglobin due to 3 days being awake. He already underwent blood transfusion and currently is asleep.

On the other hand, his pneumonia progressed a bit the reason why he was given a higher dosage of antibiotic.

He is still on ventilator and intubated because of ALS.

As we face this endeavor, we would like to thank those who have helped us financially, morally and spiritually. It means a lot to our family. ❤🙏 Still, we badly need your prayers for his fast recovery. 😍
