Limb for Life - Marc Ganaban
My brother and a dear friend to most, Marc Mahinay Ganaban, has been bravely fighting against 2 different cancers, Bone cancer (Chondroblastic Osteosarcoma) and Papillary Thyroid Cancer since 2016 and 2018 respectively. To remove the primary tumor of the bone cancer on his lower right thigh, an amputation procedure was done last October 2018. He is still undergoing chemotheraphy to address the metasteses of the osteosarcoma. The treatment plan for the thyroid cancer will follow shortly once the first one is clear.
Despite his circumstance, Marc remains positive, unbelievably head and heart strong and is able to help take care of their adorable 2 year old son, Addie. In the meantime, he is working as a virtual assistant and is looking forward to go back to working full time to support his ongoing treatment and his family’s finances.
Hospital expenses and medicines are mostly covered by the health insurance provided by his wife’s (my sister, Krisha Sarah Ganaban) company. Unfortunately, a prosthesis (artificial leg) is not part of his medical coverage.
With this, I would like to reach out to his family and friends and everyone who would be willing to offer their kind help in achieving the fund goal in order that Marc would have a chance at walking again with two legs - a chance to a better life for him and his family.
Any amount would be of great help for his prosthesis and other medical expenses and we would be extremely grateful in return!
