Campaign Story
Hi. We'd like to request assistance for the surgery and medical treatments of Mila Cruz. Please browse down to see other ways to donate aside from PayPal (via BPI and GCash).
Mila is in the middle of looking for employment in Shanghai, China when she acquired the limb illness and is due for amputation immediately to prevent blood poisoning.
Her medical case had been declined already by several hospitals, aside from the fact that as a Filipino OFW in China, a minimum deposit of 30,000 CNY (or 230,000 pesos) must first be made. That amount does not include yet the temporary stopgap treatment, confinement and medicines. A kind doctor loaned her that amount just for her to be admitted and receive immediate treatment. The kind doctor also encouraged the medical community to hopefully have a breakthrough on the illness. She's currently confined at Renji Hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.
Family & kababayans abroad also provided round-the-clock help and financial support but the cost is already getting too high. The family already sought help as well from the government for immediate medical evacuation so that the patient can be transferred in the Philippines, where, hopefully, the costs of surgery and treatments will be lesser.
We're not yet certain on the cost of the medical evacuation, though, hopefully the government can help, but for sure there will be costs on the daily patient needs upon arrival in the local hospital, aside from the imminent upcoming surgery, treatments, physical therapies and prosthesis.
We'd like to appeal to your generous hearts to save the life of Mila. Mila is a loving daughter from Lingayen, Pangasinan and breadwinner to her parents who are 74 and 75 year olds respectively.
For inquiries on proofs, please email [email protected]. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Update as of January 6:
With the assistance of DFA, PH Consulate in China, OWWA & OUMWA, Tita will be assisted back in PH this evening. We are very grateful to them. We are also very thankful with the prompt and kind assistance of Center for Migrant Advocacy, Phils. Inc. who helped us through by monitoring the situation.
Our family is very thankful for the help of our aunt's attending physician, Dr. Michael Ong, who helped her out in financial, medical, emotional and physical means. He went out of his way to go to consulate also right away to seek help for my aunt and get the items and assistance she needs personally during her stay in the hospital. Dr. Ong, and his spouse, made sure that aunt Mila will have a fighting chance for survival under his medical care. We are extremely grateful to him and his spouse.
Thank you also to the help of Baesa Brgy Capt. Ed San Juan, who facilitated help so we'll be able to bring Tita later in PGH escorted by his officials.
The donations we got and will be getting will be solely dedicated to Milagros Cruz's hospitalization and treatments here in PH. So thank you to those who donated, shared the word and to others who'll help us as we continue the journey to #HelpMila.
