Hi! My name is Ethelryne D. Sumawang. I started this campaign to raise fund for my mom, Cresencia Domingo, who is currently battling cancer. This is already her 3rd battle. Her most recent oncology consultation and bone scan revealed this diagnosis: Invasive Ductal Carcinoma STAGE IV WITH BONE METASTASIS.

My mom is a good cook. Cooking is her passion and cooking for us is her happiness. She loves telling bed time stories and playing with her grand daughter too. She's only 58 and it is her ultimate dream to watch her grand daughter grow up.She loves to sing and dance. She loves her friends. She loves her family more than she loves herself. She spent her younger years working for her family, she was the breadwinner. Now, she wants more time to spend with us. She wants to survive this battle.

Me and my dad will do everything for her, however, our resources our running a bit low. We are humbly knocking on your generous heart to help us raise enough funds for her continuous medications and healing.

TREATMENT COST :

To survive this battle, she needs to undergo 18 cycles of oral chemo (Capecitabine), 12 sessions of Zoledronic Acid IV (once a month for 1 year), and Letrozole to be taken once a day for five years.

One cycle of her oral chemo costs PHP62,800 (around $1,336.17), and she needs to complete 18 cycles. Capecitabine is priced at 200PHP (around $4) per tablet and she needs to take 6 tablets per day, equivalent to 84 tablets in 1 cycle (14 days).

On the other hand, Zelodronic acid IV which she needs to take once a month for one year, is priced at PHP20,000 per item (around $426).

Lastly, Letrozole is priced at PHP350 (around $7.45) per tablet which costs PHP127,750 (around $2,718) for one year.

To sum it up, her complete session of chemo and one year intake of Letrozole will cost PHP1,372,550 (around $29,203).

As of the moment, she has started taking her oral chemo only (Capecitabine) since we cannot afford her other medicines yet. She is now on her second cycle (16 cycles left).

Mom's medical history:

She was first diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer in 1995. She had undergone mastectomy and 6 sessions of chemotherapy. Luckily, she survived her first battle. However, in March 2014, her MRI of the Right Brachial Plexus with Contrast revealed that there are small nonspecific enhancing lymph nodes in her right axillary region measuring up to 0.6 cm, and small nonspecific lymph nodes involving her bilateral cervical chains, measuring up to 1.2 cm in short axis dimension. This was her second battle which she also survived after 6 cycles of oral chemotherapy.

No amount is too large or too small. A gift from the heart will go a long way.
