Tajurhalang is one of the sub-districts in Bogor district area, Tajurhalang consist of seven villages with a total population around 107,519 people. These days, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Tajurhalang are facing very serious difficulties ever since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Plenty of them are no longer able to do business as usual, and some of them have finally collapsed or went out of business.
The condition is worsening with the increasing number of crime rate in that area. According to the local government, currently the percentage of crime is 228% higher than those in 2016. People becoming restless because they can’t get their normal live back. MSMEs was the backbone of the economic revolving factor, but now they too are failing.
The downfall of MSMEs bring more chaos to the district, jobs becomes scarce, people would do anything just to put a little to get by. If this situation continues, we’ll be expecting the rise of full pledge riot and eventually it will trigger neighbor districts as well, and after some point, there’s a possibility it will be a national scale riot and chaos.

Seeing this phenomenon, I on behalf of fellow volunteer from Budiman Foundation and colleagues from Infini Kleos, trying to help our brothers and sisters here through Smart Tajurhalang program. We try to help them by providing direction, guidance, training, and facilitating them to be able to keep their boat afloat by providing them with online platform that we are working on.

With online system, they won’t have to think about rent, utilities, and they can reach more exposure through the internet, therefore they could have more probability to sell their products with minimum budget.

We know that it isn’t easy, they have no knowledge regarding digital marketing and or internet in that regards, nevertheless, despite being faced with various obstacles, we remain confident and continue to fight so that this program can be implemented properly.

Using this campaign, and with the help and support from You, your relatives, colleagues and friends, we can support them, giving them hope and together back to back overcome this pandemic.
