Thank You Isn't Enough

Update posted by Sherry Bronson

The English language lacks imagination when it comes to expressions of gratitude. Shouldn't there be different words for the magnitude of the action? Someone hands you the butter. Thank you. Someone donates hard-earned money to your dream. Thank you. Someone saves your life. Thank you. See what I mean? It just isn't right, and saying 'Thank you very much' doesn't work for me either. That's just thank you with a little frosting.

I'll say it this way: Wayan and I are deeply grateful for your generous gifts. What I would like to do is fling open my heart and show you what gratitude looks like. THAT would be useful!
