Last Monday, March 8th, at 3:04 PM-- exactly 21 days and almost to the hour from when she begrudgingly agreed to let us take her to the emergency room, Ricci finally and officially, logged out.

After 2 days of intermittent but severe vascular bleeding, her heart-- while it was and always has been the biggest and strongest and most beautiful part of her, stopped beating.

I think all of our hearts collectively broke, too.

But it is with joy and hope that I can confidently say that she lived a good life and she is now at peace.

Moving forward, donations will go towards the settlement of her hospitalization fees and Nix's education. A portion will also be donated to a charity in her name; details of which will be shared as soon as they are available.

Our family is humbled and grateful for the outpouring of love and support.
