Tangible Recovery

Update posted by Monique Ferreira

Hi all 🌻

Here with another update on Papa Nick

We had made such a noise about the current situation of state hospitals that word had gotten out to the DA and MSC of Mpumalanga. A few individuals in high up positions personally took interest to follow up on our case and was able to provide my Papa with better medical attention.

Papa has now been moved to a window bed where he has a nice breeze coming in, clearing up the bad smells of human waste.

The medical staff are being more attentive to his wounds & welfare + with some convincing my mama bear was allowed to see him for a brief period of time.

We finally got more information about what will be happening with surgery. It's going to be performed on Monday (2nd November) at Themba Hospital, done by one of the top orthopedic surgeons in the area.

It is amazing how one can feel a little more at ease when informed of what is going on instead of being left in the uncertain darkness.

It has left us speechless with gratitude to see how much love, compassion and prayers we can share amongst one another. To know we can all stand together to help when tragedy strikes creates an enlightening hope where times like these are menacing.

From the Ferreira family we want to say a very big heartfelt thank you to all who supported and is still supporting us through this tough time 🙏🏻

May God bless you all abundantly ✝️
