Forever Grateful for all your prayers & support (an update from Oct 29-Nov 10)

Update posted by Nanette Vila

October 29, our Dad celebrated his 83rd birthday. He was feeling much OK and again, the doctors already gave us a go signal that he can come home in few days. However, at around 3:20am (PST) of Oct 30th, after some missed calls, I finally able to pick up the call from the hospital ICU informing me that our dad’s heart rate and oxygen has dropped, and they are reviving him. On the first attempt, they manage to stabilize his condition. While we are preparing ourselves on our way to the hospital, our dad’s labored breathing was prominent once more, so they try to revive him again. This time, he never made it. At 4:30am our dad took his last breath and join our creator. It was such a sad moment to us and specially to our Mom since they’ve been inseparable for 59 years.

Our dad, Narciso will always be remembered as a loving, thoughtful, and caring father, grandpa, husband, friend and “ninong” to most of the couples in our church. A God fearing, man of wisdom and integrity he was. A selfless person, he was during his lifetime, he has faced incessant challenges and endured all of them. He was not perfect, but he was the best dad we could ask for.

On behalf of our family, we thank everyone who has sent their donations, sympathies and partnered with us in prayer. Even though Dad is gone, we know that God has better plans and we should continue to trust and desire to glorify Him despite the pain. We would also like to apologize for the delay in updates as we’ve been busy arranging the funeral service and settling our hospital bills.

Because of your generosity, we were able to partially settle our hospital bills through the initial amount we have raised. Currently, we still have an outstanding balance in the hospital amounting to Php 308,973.30 (This includes professional fees of the 9 Doctors who attended to our dad) which is on promissory note that we need to settle before December 25, 2020.

And since our savings has also been depleted already due to the overwhelming expenses, we’re humbly knocking on the doors of your kind hearts once again to help us settle these remaining hospital bills. If you're willing to share your blessings to somehow ease our financial burden you may continuously send your donations directly to any of the following:

Banco De Oro (BDO) / Account name: Nanette F. Vila / Savings account no. 006850058958

Bank: Eastwest Bank / Account name: Narciso F. Vila Jr. / Savings account no. 200024921831

Or through GCASH: 09173865272 (Laura Legaspi)

Again, we thank everyone for continuous prayers, support and care you have extended to us. Our family will be forever grateful. May God continue to bless you all!
