Lolo’s extubated

Update posted by Aniceto Dela Torre

Our family is delighted to share with you this news

June 18 when Tatay had to undergone an emergency surgery (jejunostomy, transverse colostomy and mass removal in his large intestine). He was under general anaesthesia, they needed to intubate him and placed into mechanical ventilator to help him breathe. The surgery lasted for almost 5 hours, the longest and most dreading 5 hours of our life. We were relieved when his surgeon informed us that the surgery was a success. However, tatay was in close observation. He still cannot breathe on his own because of the anaesthesia. But yesterday June 20 his doctors were able to wean him off the ventilator. He is breathing on his own. Tatay now is in stable condition, although he still need to be in CCU for observation. They are still concern about his blood pressure getting low.

We are still knocking at your kind hearts to help us in any way. Our running bill is close to a million, and despite the family’s effort it isn’t enough. So we humbly ask for your help.

We were so scared we might lose him while he’s in the OR, but with prayers, a lot of it, Tatay made it through. He fought, and he is still fighting.
