Dear All,

Just an update on my current situation — as you can clearly see, I will be taking a gap year. There were many considerations in making this decision, and that includes both the current state of uncertainty engendered by the ongoing pandemic as well as an insufficient conviction with regards to my post-graduate future.

I have successfully applied for deferment of my entry to Queen’s College at Oxford by a year, and so will still be strongly considering eventually beginning an undergraduate degree there in October 2021. To that end, I will be reapplying for scholarships, and I would very much appreciate any and all advice on that, as well as being kept in your prayers (not so much for the outcome itself, but that I may be well prepared spiritually for every possible outcome).

The primary goal of this coming year will personally be to gain as much experience as possible, and insights into potential career pathways feasible for myself. I have since applied for a number of internship positions, and have yet to land any of such.

In the meantime, I have decided to begin a year of undergraduate studies locally, and so will be seriously committed to my academic pursuits. I will continue to update this page frequently, and would further like to assure everyone that I have not used any donations at this point, as I have not begun (nor confirmed) my overseas education. If and when I were to use such, rest assured that I will be as transparent and honest about my use of the financial backing I’ve received as possible.
