Update #5 Covid19

Update posted by James Quindao

We have been very busy with the death of our Uncle for the past few days with the hospital process as well as memorial process for Uncle Rene since covid19 patients are treated differently when it comes to their death for everyone's safety, so I am seeking for everyone to have more understanding and compassion specially to my cousin Sofia and Liza who have to research and understand the process and protocols needed for Covid19+ individual as this is all new to us.

Since only limited people is allowed to attend, my cousin did a GoLive video so Papa’s relatives and friends can at least see him as he is laid to rest.

We were not allowed to see the body, from the hospital direct to the memorial park, embalming is not allowed. DOH or Disinfectant team of City Health with Baranggay Health Workers should be present to disinfect the memorial site.

Golden Haven Guidelines:
1. Only 10-15 attendees allowed
2. No face mask, No entry to the memorial park.
3. Attendees should be above 21 yrs old and beliw 60 yrs old
4. No final viewing, small gatherings and can’t stay long in the memorial park
5. Maintain social distancing while inside memorial park

On the other hand, Good news... Our papa is recovering well and hopefully he will be discharged from the hospital today depending on his test results. He will then be transferred to a quarantine facilities and stay there before he can go home. We have been doing video calls to cheer him up and to keep him company. At first we didn't tell him about his beloved brother in law death and that we are also Covid+ so he can focus on his recovery. Only just yesterday he knew of it.

As for me and the rest of the family who tested positive on the DOH test, we are still home quarantined and is not showing any symptoms. Very grateful to the rest of the family who have been delivering cooked food, vegetables, fruits and vitamins to us in a daily basis... of course through contact less.
