Ida was able to see a doctor today and was given updated prescriptions for her gastroparesis and additional ones to manage her cough and phlegm. She was told that while metformin can help maintain her diabetes, this may have negative side effects on her body. Therefore, she was advised to undergo series of lab tests to better identify her diabetes case and the medication that best fit her results. She was also given a diet that her body could slowly adjust to, until she can already go back to her normal solid intake.

As of today, the total cost of the lab work she was advised to do is at ₱22,772.48

Ida is still hopeful that she could perform these tests at a much cheaper course so as to maximize the funds she has now. Having said that, she is very thankful to everyone who helped her and encouraged her on her road to getting better. Her next checkup is after she gets all the test results needed.
