PROJECT COVI3D

Update posted by TUPT Alumni

WHO WE ARE?

Project COVI3D is a collective effort of the TUP-MTI Alumni Association and Junior Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers TUPT that aims to help health workers and front liners to fight against COVID-19. The Project started March 29, 2020.

WHAT WE DO?

Our team helps to provide country's front liners, face shields and other necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) through the use of 3D printing technology. All 3D Printers procured in this project will be donated in the University.

ACCOMPLISHMENT

We were able to produce 4 new 3D printers and have fabricated 200 face shields on it's first 3 days. 50 face shields were been delivered in the hospitals and front liners. Despite of limited resources, the team continues to diligently work on fulfilling over 200 requests. Our current fulfillment rate is 25%.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

As the number of face shield request continues to increase every day, “PROJECT COVI3D” volunteers need monetary assistance and material donations to meet the rising demands of PPE’s. Cash donations will be allotted for procurement of materials for face shields, PPE’s essentials such as gloves, gowns, boots, and payment for logistics. We are also accepting Material donation such as Acetate Sheets, Filament Spools and PVC Rolls to increase our production.
