What a load of rubbish

Update posted by Heike De Haan and Peduli Alam

The collection and disposal of waste from different villages continues throughout Desa Bunutan, Amed, Bali, Indonesia. Without regular rubbish collections in the area, non-organic waste enters the waterways and oceans, accumulates on beaches, threatens aquatic life, and interferes with how humans can use the water environments in the area.

The free service provided to the community by Yayasan Peduli Alam is only made possible from ongoing donations. With ongoing support, unsightly, overflowing bins, provided by Yayasan Peduli Alam, can be emptied on a regular basis which contributes to keeping the area clear and removing the burning or burying of rubbish.

Every little bit helps, big or small. We continue to raise funds to continue this service ensuring young and old in the area are aware of the impact of non-organic waste and have their rubbish removed regularly.

Yayasan Peduli Alam sincerely thanks all for their continued support and financial donations.
