Here’s a quick update. We got the test results back. The result is without solid conclusions, most likely the tumor is melanoma, but since it is free of melanin pigment, it is impossible to diagnose it without further examination, so the pathologist suggests an additional so-called immunohistochemical examination. If the final diagnosis of melanoma is to be considered as treatment, immunotherapy with the melanoma vaccine Oncept will come into play, but if the diagnosis is different we can act accordingly.

The heavily enlarged lymph node, however, is not metastatic but only inflamed, reactive, which is good.

Her wound is healing fast, we took the stiches out.

Izvid je brez trdnih zaključkov, najverjetnejši tumor je melanom, a ker je brez pigmenta melanina ga je brez dodatnih preiskav nemogoče diganoticirati, zato patolog predlaga dodatno t.i. imunohistokemijsko preiskavo. Če bo končna diagnoza melanom v poštev kot zdravljenje pride imunoterapija z melanomsko vakcino Oncept, če pa bo diagnoza drugačna lahko ravnamo v skladu s tem.

Močno povečana bezgavka pa ni metastatska ampak le vneta, reaktivna, kar je dobro.
