UPDATE: 12.20.19 (late post)

Mama just got out of the hospital, 12.19.19. She was admitted from December 8, 2019 because of jaundice that was accompanied by sever abdominal pain, grey stools and tea colored urine which gave her physicians a high suspicion that there is an obstruction in her biliary tree. She was worked up with various blood test and scanned with ultrasound and MRCP to know what was the cause of the problem.

Sadly the scans and tests revealed that the problem is a mass effect that is probably caused by the recurrence of her cancer’s liver metastasis which was not there for a good 2-3 months. Upon consultation with all her medical specialists the best course of action is to give relief to her signs and symptoms, so we inserted a stent in her biliary tree via ERCP, and then resume the chemotherapy on January while changing the regimen to Kadcyla (ado-trastuzumabb emtansine) that is equally expensive with the regimen she is currently getting.

My mom is being eaten by her cancer really fast, from a cancer free state for 2-3 months now back with metastasis just days after we asked for everyone’s dear help. She wishes me to feel no pain. In line with that, we will try the new drug because it may palliate whatever she is experiencing right now and probably explore pain management.

As a family, we have accepted the situation already but we are still hoping for miracles to happen. To a pain free journey! Thank you very much for all your love and support! Please continue supporting and praying mama in her journey - we continue fighting

PS: We already bought the last chemo that she was supposed to receive, scheduled a day after her confinement. We’ll just donate it to another person in need of the same drug.

thank you tito Mike
