Update 1: Proof of lab results (Clearer translation for non-bahasa speakers at the bottom)

Update posted by Tan Pin Feng

This was my aunt's current lab results done last month. As the lab results were not translated directly to us, we had to pick up bits and pieces of information while being careful to not mis-convey any information.

What was translated by us:

The carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) test is a blood test that tests for the amount of CEA found in the body that can be produced by certain cancers - one of which is breast cancer. But this test alone cannot give definitive results of the presence of cancer because elevated levels of CEA may be observed in smokers and from other determining factors. My aunt has levels of CEA of 10.7 ng/mL. (Recommended to be <=5ng/mL).

The second test done is the cancer antigen (CA) 15-3 test used to monitor the number of breast cancer cells in the body in response to treatment. It can also give a general sense of how much cancer cells may be present. The higher the CA 15-3 level, the larger amount of cancer is determined to be present. My aunt has levels of CA 15-3 of 290U/mL. (Recommended to be <=31.3U/mL)

Under keterangan (information), it is translated that the results of examination with different methods cannot be compared with each other. The results also cannot be determined that the tumor is non-benign/malignant.

What the doctor told us: They are diagnosing it as breast cancer with the stage unknown. Further tests are to be done.

Update: Currently, we are still looking into the treatment costs required in Singapore/Indonesia.

We would like to thank the people that have given your support to us and our families and also for your kind donations.
