Don't think our immigration system is broken? Think again. Chris had a hearing with his attorney to file paperwork this morning. Next court appearance: December 11th. DECEMBER!!! Three and a half months away. They'll keep him locked up in the detention center just sitting there. Absolutley ridiculous. We mailed a last ditch effort brief they requested for the appeal to get him released on bond, but hearing the other cases Chris tells me about, I'm not feeling very optimistic. Meanwhile, our government is paying this private facility owned by the Geo Group hundreds of dollars per day per detainee... it disgusts me. Immigration reform is needed. Use your vote wisely in 2020.
