Update 24/03/19

Update posted by HD Jaya

Calico Girl is not doing too well in the hospital. She’s very nervous and scared of everything around her. She didn’t even move inside her cabin when we visited her. Her doctor felt that her condition will be better if she can stay at somewhere that she feels safer.

Her current chance of recovery is only 50:50 and she is not eating on her own.. She has to take a lots of medications twice a day via her feeding tube. She can’t go back outside and we don’t want her to with her condition.

To give her a better chance, we decided to bring her to our home to recuperate. She has made great progress at home for the past two days.

At hospital (above), at home (below)

Note: We have another big boy at home (alpha cat rescued from the street a couple of years ago) and live in a studio apartment. So we have to keep the girl temporarily in the cage for her safety until she gets better and fully adjusted to indoor environment.

Her medical expenses to date is almost $4,000 ($2,400 for the tests and remaining for the hospital bills in Mt. Pleasant and Animal Clinic) She needs to go back for blood test etc next week to check her liver and gallbladder.

We are still reaching out to those who can help by donating or continue sharing her story to offset. Offline donation can also be transferred to POSB 207-65101-0 and we will update the amount in this campaign page.

To those who have extended your helping hand, we are very grateful to your kindness to this poor little girl. We hope she will continue to make good progress and be a healthy kitty again.
