I am so grateful to everybody for helping me past the halfway mark of my campaign target.

Guide Dogs Victoria is still working on finding the best suited dog to my situation. But I’m not too worried as firstly I’ll get to spend a little more time with my beloved Esme, and I also have complete trust in Guide Dogs Victoria’s matching process.

They got it so right the first round with Esme, and I could not have asked for more.

One of the considerations that is making it slower is Singapore social environment, we are excluding black dogs in the selection process as to date, there are only 7 working Guide Dogs here( all yellow labs) and they are still an uncommon sight. There are also some misconceptions towards black dogs in the Asian society. As such we are playing it safe
