My Story

We got married in 2013. I did not know the actual motive of my husband back then. He wanted to use my education and skills to migrate to UK as he was not eligible to do so by himself. When we moved to UK, he started torturing me mentally and physically. He took all my salaries and threatened me if I wanted to complain about his behaviour. Finally, when my employer's sponsorship license got revoked, I recognised the opportunity to escape back to India. After coming back to India, I told my family about the assaults and they helped me to divorce him. Now I am glad that I am out of that horrible relationship.
