First, Aniye is now formally registered as a non-profit company.

The registration process was swift and extremely efficient and it is a great first step on our way to becoming an NGO!

Second, we are in the midst of a 2-day grant writing workshop for local, social and environmental NGOs in Lira, Northern Uganda. We learnt that there are very complicated social issues in this area caused by years of insecurity in the past, and resulting in very high rates of child marriage. It is a great privilege to be able to help these small organizations to become more efficient in their struggle to make a change.

Third and probably most important, donations are still coming in, both here and in other means, which is a great great help! There is still a long way to go before I have enough to secure the next few months of my activities here in Uganda so please, keep sharing this campaign.
