Another year has come and my mom is going to celebrate her birthday this coming September 28. She always enjoyed and looked forward to her birthday. I remember how excited she would get every time her birthday is coming. She would always have a lot of plans for her birthday. She likes celebrating her birthday with friends and loved ones and serve food that she herself cooked. She will be turning 57 years old on the 28th and I doubt, with her situation, she would rather stay at home and relax. She mentioned that she wants to just have a simple dinner with us on that day. My heart cried because this will be a complete 180 degrees turn of what she usually does :'( I believe birthday celebrations need not be expensive all the time. I believe that what is important is that we are able to give thanks as a family for God's gift of life.

Everyday she puts on a brave face and tell us she okay. She is the bravest person that I know and she is fighting for her life and asks for nothing but the love and support of her family. She is truly amazing. I just wish her prayers will be answered and God will provide for her needs and show His graciousness.
