A new enclosure for "Dunkin" the invalide Clouded Monitor

Update posted by Stefan Pullitzky

After Dunkin's surgery, where we had to remove a piece of a broken rib his wounds are healing properly now. The deep holes haven't entirely closed yet. But we got the infection under control, and new healthy tissue is growing from the inside out.

The wounds looked bad after the surgery. But before the tissue was necrotic. Here you can see red healthy muscle tissue with intrasite gel, which avoids the tissue to heal from the outside first. We want it to grow slowly from the inside out. Since we left the wounds open, I have to keep him still in a simple furnished terrarium, to make it easier to clean properly, and avoid too much dirt in the wounds. Soon he will need to move in something bigger. Unfortunately we can't put him together with our one-eyed monitor "Baan-Chan". "Baan" inflates his body and hisses, as soon he sees Dunkin. He would properly even attack him.

Therefore I need to build another enclosure in at least half the size of the cage on the last image. For which I've roughly paid 60000 THB. That's approx. 2000 USD, which included all materials, like bricks, cement, sand, steel rebar steel all steel for the cage, uv transparent polycarbonate and labor. For a half-sized cage I will probably need to pay half the price, which I still can't afford in the moment, because I have lots of private bills to pay, and need a set new off road tires for my rescue vehicle, which costs another 25000 THB.

You can help!

Each Baht counts for Dunkin or rescuing wildlife... Thank you! <3
