As of Wednesday 27th June we only have 9 weeks left until our baby boy is due to arrive. That's 9 weeks left to figure out the future of our family. At this point our situation when he is born will be a tough one. We will have to leave our dogs at home (with whatever family member/s can help watching them) while I am in labour. And then when he is transferred to Birmingham children's hospital for his operation and recovery period i will be away from home and james will be working or at university or at the hospital with us so they will be left at home again and we have to hope that family will be available to look after them. We dont know how long this period will be for because every baby recovers differently. But our son HAS to have this operation to close his back within 24-48 hours after he is born. He may also need other operations as he grows but we don't know until he is here.

The biggest issue for us right now is that we need to move house. We live in a 2 bed house with stairs and a raised floor in one bedroom and a garden that is on 2 levels so it isn't practical for us to stay here with the mobility issues our son will have. The problem is with our low income and thanks to the benefits system messing us about we can't afford to move house without help. THIS IS WHAT THE MONEY RAISED WILL BE FOR. We have applied for council housing but everyone knows that their waiting lists take years, even if you have medical priority. We need to move to a bungalow ideally but if we can only get a ground floor flat we would have to take it as it will be better for our boy.

Even if by some miracle we get approved for a council place any time soon we still need to raise money to cover the costs of moving house. Neither me or james drive so we would have to get family to help us move small stuff and hire a man with a van to help us move the big stuff like furniture. We don't have money for this as we are a month behind on bills thanks to universal credit not paying us for the whole of may so every penny we have is going towards getting us back on track with our bills. We have applied for every kind of financial help towards the bills that we can so that things don't get out of control.

The only help we can get to move house is if people decide to donate. I understand that life is tough for everyone and money is tight so please don't feel bad if you can't donate. BUT PLEASE SHARE THIS FAR AND WIDE. I cant provide a better home and life for my baby without your help. If it was just about me I wouldn't even consider trying to raise the money, I would just manage with what I have. But my little boy deserves the very best that I can give him so I am asking for his sake not mine. Thank you xx
