Just want to put out a massive thank you to everyone who has responded in their generosity out of love and support for the Ostoja family and Bruno. It is incredible to see how it has been received, and it stands testament to the legend that is Bruno and how loved he is by all, from all of you, far and wide apart, but all closely connected through his life.

As an update on his situation; he has been flown to Cape Town, admitted to Groote Schuur and now awaits surgery on the 18th of May. He has recently been discharged from the hospital as the doctors have cleared him to be stable enough to go home until the surgery.

Typical in Bruno’s positive, fiery character; he is jovial and in good spirits, making jokes and taking from life all that is possible in acceptance and learning. I can say with surety that the love that has come from you all has indeed shown him how much he is loved, and it is within this that makes his healing that much easier, knowing that he will come out stronger as a result.
