April 17, 2018. I took Mama to see her oncologist. He said he will have to administer Zoledronic acid infusion which will address the hypercalcemia (resulting from destruction of the bone by the tumor) and help reduce or delay it spreading to other areas or organs. He hopes that the tumor will only be contained in that area currently affected. Every infusion session of Zoledronic acid (Osteomet) would cost us Php 26,000.00. Mama is scheduled to have this administered on April 27. I pray we would have enough to cover the cost.
