Hi everyone, I’m at the PGH Cancer Institute today to get my 300mg shot of Filgrastim to raise my WBC count which is very low at 1.1, way below the minimum 5.5 count.

My oncologist says that I should be getting this shot regularly from now on in between cycles to avoid disruption in my treatment schedule. I am hoping to get my chemo drugs plus Rituximab tomorrow as originally scheduled although my doctor says Filgrastim usually does the job of fixing my WBC level. Lab test can only be done after 12 hrs which means I have to go the laboratory at 11pm tonight.
