Marathon complete!!

Sorry I didn’t update you all earlier, been very busy submitting my thesis.

Firstly, thank you all so much for your donations and continual support.

The run itself was alright. So hot!!! I hit my first wall at 17km which I was surprised about given I could usually make it to 25km without feeling too rough. Mum and my hungover siblings (millie and Charlie) greeted me at 22km with cheers and an energy bar. 30km was when it started to get hard, particularly when everyone else around me was walking. But I kept running! All the way into the MCG for the epic finish.

Thank you to my fellow runners: Nick, Steph and Tim, for your chat and laughter during the run.

Thank you to my family and friends who came and supported me on the day. Mum, Millie, Charlie, Janet and Rod.

Most importantly thank YOU! For your encouragement and donations. If next year allows I will take the donations over to Kenya myself; however, otherwise I will talk with mum and decide where the orphanage can benefit most and she will put it into action.

I can not thank you all enough for your support, messages and advice. There will be some very happy Kenyan children given the opportunity to drink clean water and eat a hearty meal.
