Why are we doing this?

Update posted by Kevin Moeggenberg

We've had a lot of requests from customers to put in a real 1/5 and 1/10 scale race track. We have the property available to us, but we were afraid the investment in rent would be too much for the store to support if we didn't have enough customer involvement. So many times we've had customers ask for things but after investing the money, found there was not much interest on the customer's side. So this time we are turning to crowdfunding to gauge actual interest and commitment from our customers and community. If we are pledged enough funds to support the track for one year, we'll build it. I think it would be a great family and community entertainment center. If we don't meet the funding goal we'll return any investment anyone has made on yearly memberships. We are also soliciting corporations such as Home Depot and Lowes for building materials in return for banner advertisements on the fence, driver stands and bleachers surrounding the track.

We have 2 kinds of rewards. The first is merchandise you can purchase where all of the profit goes to building the track. Pictures of the merchandise are at the top of the page and descriptions are located on the right side of the page. The second contribution is a yearly membership for individuals or families. The membership gives you access to the track for a year but does not include the sanctioned races on Friday and Saturday nights. There is also a rental donation where you get 2 hours of use, with 5 cars and a catered meal.

Thank you for your support,

Kevin and Denise Moeggenberg
