Update...

Update posted by Sandra Kekirunga

Hi Guys,

It's been a while since I updated you all on Francis and I wish this update were more positive.

Francis had been doing physiotherapy for his leg and begun to notice pain after each session. Initially he chalked it up to inactivity and his body adjusting to movement. After the pain persisted and he noticed some swelling the doctors ordered x-Rays to be done. Initially his X-Rays showed no issues but upon further investigation and an ultrasound of the left hip the doctors found a reoccurrence of the tumor. A further CT was done which confirmed a left proximal femoral residual tumor with sclerosing metastatic lesions in the left inguinal region.

For those of you (like me) to whom this medical lingo is confusing, what this means is that another tumor has developed, this time around the groin area left of the leg. It's on the same leg that he was operated on but in a different location. What this means for Francis now is more chemotherapy and another surgery. This news is extremely disheartening given that Francis had been on the road to recovery. So here I am once again, asking you all to pray for Francis, to share his story and continue to donate whatever you can.
