Moms been in affib for about 13 hours now. It’s been a long night. The nurse gave her a beta blocker finally at about 10:30am to hopefully make her go back to normal. They had to wake her every hour last night to do the stroke nuerological evaluation so she is exhausted which is to be expected. They started her on Efferin yesterday which is a blood thinner so even though she’s been in affib for so long there shouldn’t been any clots that are created from the irregular heartbeat. Her speech is so much better everyday. The hematoma on her right hip has gone from watermelon size to a bit bigger than a cantaloupe. They said it will take awhile for that to go away; at least 3 months. AThe doctor hasn’t come in to talk to us today yet. I’ll post another update as soon as I know more.
