A Pup-date on Harvey (Sorry a little delayed but Florida was hit with a pretty bad hurricane and we are all trying to put everything back together still, So thank you for your patience!)

Mr Harvey had his full work up Blood, urine and Ultrasound to check out all his organs and to see a base line of where physically we are at. Surprisingly enough, Mr Harvey is in pretty good standing for the awful shape he is in. His organs have not started shutting down yet, so we think he was caught just in the nick of time!

Mr Harvey does have to be re-checked weekly to make sure his organs take to processing food again properly. He does have to be weighed daily and he is on a strict food/diet schedule every 3 hours. His whole body has to get used to processing food and water normally again, and get his body out of starvation mode.

He has to have medicated baths daily to treat his generalized staph infection, because his body is just too weak to handle ingesting antibiotics. His medical foster says he absolutely loves the bath and thinks it's spa day so that's a little win for little Harvey!

He is infested with Hook, Round and whip worms even including Raccoon roundworms which is very rare and takes quite a bit longer and different to treat. This poor boy was bombarded from every angle with things making him sick, but little by little. Day by day, we are beating everything and he get's a little bit stronger every day!

It is going to be a long road to recovery for Mr Harvey, but with us all fighting by his side and now receiving the life saving and maintaining medical care he so desperately needed. He will recover! He will be able to find his forever home when he is healthy, and it's because of everyone's support he has that chance now!
