As mentioned in our previous update, half of the estimated expenses for Mamta's birth will be required by the hospital when Mamta is admitted and the remaining balance will be required when she leaves the hospital. Mamta's due date is the end of June/early July, but because Mamta is carrying twins (which tend to arrive early) she has been told to expect the babies at any time from now. We are therefore sending Mamta the money raised as soon as it is cleared by the payment processors so that she can have it to hand when she goes into labor. We are in weekly contact with Mamta and the money she is receiving is being deposited ready for the birth.

Below is a receipt Mamta received yesterday for the first batch of cleared funds which was sent to her from the campaign. As can be seen on the receipt, the amount totaled 8,129.58 Indian Rupees (11.6% of the 70,000 Indian Rupees we are raising to cover the birth expenses for the two babies). Some personal information for Mamta has been blocked out for security purposes.
