I never expected to get this much support for a conference. I have always either gotten funds through my university or saved for months to be able to present my work. I am VERY grateful that so many have made donations, big or small, as they all helped me so much! With this trip funded, I can certainly go to another conference in which I yesterday received the news that I was accepted to present my paper "Language Planning: The Curious Case of Sign Language in the United States." To sum up, many thanks to everyone who has donated what they can for me to be able to promote early sign language acquisition for Deaf children and Deaf education. I will continue to do research in this area and not leave it in the classroom: it is important to present the research and promote sign language in Deaf education.
