We've got Triathlon fever!!!!

Update posted by Louise Blais

The last two weeks have seen so many people taking up Krishan's cause by getting out to test themselves physically and raise money at the same time. Lesley Reeve challenged a group of 14 ladies to do a triathlon sprint at Blenheim Palace this year. Over the weekend of June 3/4 we all participated in this amazing challenge and managed to each complete this incredible race. Even some of the kids participated in the duathlon and proudly wore their medals after the feat! They felt proud to help their classmate Krishan as well as the grown ups!

Congratulations to Lesley Reeve, Tracy Bruton, Catherine Duffy, Michelle White, Sharon O'Connell, Gulhan Mavili, Alison Waite, Clare Anderson, Cristina Arciniegas, Julie Hicks, Linda Protheroe and Louise Blais. We also saw a flutter of donation activity as we all promoted this on Facebook ahead of the race so thanks to everyone for attaching yourselves to the cause!! It all helps!!! We were also lucky to have a great supporter in the audience as Dakota (Krishan's mum) came to cheer us on which made us run, swim and bike faster!! Dakota was meant to join us in this adventure but due to circumstances, she had to abandon training but we're hoping to get her out to next year's event!!!

We also have another friend with the Triathlon bug and David Griffiths took on an even more challenging race which the 'Escape from Alcatraz' full olympic distance this past weekend!! Unfortunately, due to the weather, the swim portion of his race was cancelled and they modified the course to increase the bike and run in the hills of San Francisco. David we feel for you!!!! Unfortunately David also didn't have an amazing audience like we did at Blenheim to cheer us on but our thoughts were with him and we live tracked him too! How cool is technology!!

Thanks again to everyone for promoting and fundraising through this great event!!! We also all got a bit fitter in the process! Yay!!

LIVE TO TRI! Watch our trailer video if you haven't already! Full movie version on it's way soon...!
