Ljubos liver goes Bad

Update posted by Sussi Nilsson

As Ljubo in the beginning of his surgery recovered well and christmas is coming up, were having a hard time on the passing of one of our most beloved dogs Toya. We try to go along as normal, but the 21th December Ljubo starts to get itchy. He says it reminds him of how he was feeling when his liver was bad. The 22nd December we go to a clinic to get a bloodtest and he spends the rest of the evening in fever. On the 23rd we get the results saying bilirubin 68, alt 3.1 & ast 7.3. Which is not horrible but too much.

We were supposed to go to my dad to celebrate christmas that weekend, but had to cancel. I only went on a short visit the 23rd while Ljubo stayed at home. On Christmas eve his eyes are starting to turn yellow and the itch get worse. I book the upcoming flight from Malmö to Belgrade the coming Monday so he can go home as possible.

Hes gotten worse during the week, alot due to the flight trip. When he came home he had to fix with his national id card since it expired during his stay in Sweden. He needs a social security number to get to the hospital and a passport is not valid as identification(!) First he applied for id and finds out it takes 15 days. After that he needs to get a temporary Id to be able to get his social security number. This takes 3 days. Yesterday he was at the clinic at home and finally got a new bloodtest done. The results this time was far worse. Bilirubin 130, alt ca 130 and ast ca 130. He also got remitted to hospital for mri scan, more test and will see a doctor, but he have to wait until monday. No doctors are working during the weekend, only call in doctors and so he cant get treated yet.
