Stage one is complete! The Gay Masters themselves, the characters in this piece "went all big" just in the nick of time for the last gathering of Daisy Campbell's 'Book Of Horkos' last monday evening. A wonderful time was had by all, as myself and fellow signatories presented their work including extracts from two completed novels, two new plays, a musical, several beautiful pieces of song and music, a raucous singalong paen to glossolalia, a comic, an essay on the infamous historical figure Hassan-i-Sabbah, a painting, a photo book, the first twenty chapters of the fabulous Irving Rappaport's memoirs, AND a jacket made entirely of something called "dreambones". Amazing and inspiring stuff!

Anyway,here are the gay masters, presented for you by their spokesperson Horkos himself (i had to give them nicknames whilst working on them and the names have now stuck!), so you can see where we're going with this. I have most of the components now for phase two - completion of the framework for the table chairs and clock - although many of them haven't been paid for yet - eek! - so that'll be coming together over the next couple of weeks

It's been such a wild ride, have learned a lot, and am really looking forward to be able to share the finished THING with the world - have already had several inquiries from festivals to take them along - am going to need a ton of varnish and some scaffolding to be able to install them without damaging them.

Thanks to all of you that have contributed cash or otherwise helped with this so far. TBH it's been so inspiring that i've already built another twenty three of these in my head!
