Hello everyone,

It has been exactly a year since the earthquakes so I would like to update you on our situation now.

Huge thank you to everyone who donated to us. Now most parts of the house are repaired. My parents are able to stay at home as before. We waited 11 months for the roof to be fixed; so just a couple of weeks ago the carpenters finally came and repaired it. However, when it rains very heavily, the roof still leaks a little.

We are still waiting for carpenters to repair a few parts of the walls inside. We also still have cracks in many places due to the house leaning. The carpenters said that it was impossible to fix it because the main structure of the house is leaning - and they can only support the structure - so we have to leave it as it is. It also prevents us from closing the windows properly unfortunately but that is not such a big problem.

The most important thing is that my parents can now live there again! Unfortunately, we still have earthquakes. That scares us very much but we hope that there won't be any as big as the ones last year.

Thank you again for all your support! We all appreciate your help, even my parents' grandchildren who can now safely visit their grandma and grandpa at home
