Updates: Working Diagnosis

Update posted by Michelle Fabella

Another platelet and blood transfusion today. She now has Singaporean blood! we are waiting for the results of all the tests which takes 4-7days running time. To finally confirm a diagnosis.

We do have a working diagnosis and if it is indeed that one, we may need to do a bone marrow transplant. A donor will be located, then she will need to go through chemotherapy for a few days they transfuse with pure stem cell. We can't use the Cord bank we availed when she was born because if it is an auto immune or immunodeficiency problem then it would be part of that blood.

Approximate cost is 120,000sg or 4 million pesos for the transplant alone. Hospital will look for a donor, do chemo, laboratories, and stay in SG for monitoring for 6-8 months. So approximately atleast 8m? Excluding manila inconclusive diagnostic cost of 2million pesos already.

Honestly I don't know what I want anymore so I'm just praying for God's will be done because His is the best option. May God continue to sustain Caitie as He continues to reveal that He is indeed with us on this.

We continue to be thankful and trust because we are expectantly joyful that He will indeed fulfil His promise of an abundant life and restoration for the family.

2 Corinthians 1:9
We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. 9 Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.

Matthew 8:3
Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.”…

Mark 5:34
And he said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace. Your suffering is over.”
