Update 2/10/14

Update posted by Jerry Fest

The generous donations received so far are enough to provide books to 34 agencies. All of the recipients have been contacted, and I am shipping books as soon as I receive mailing addresses and “attention to” information from the contacted agencies. Books are on their way to the 7 agencies listed below:

  • Aid in Dover, Dover, DE
  • Child and Family Services, Manchester, NH
  • Jackson Street Youth Shelter, Inc., Corvallis, OR
  • Shirley Miller Attention Home, Missoula, MT
  • Tumbleweed Runaway Program, Billings, MT Volunteers of America, Dakotas, Sioux Falls, SD Wichita Children's Home, Wichita, KS

I STILL NEED YOUR HELP. I have the ambitious goal of providing free books to all 340 Basic Center, Transitional Living Programs, Maternity Group Homes, and Street Outreach Programs in the nation. We are currently 10% toward that goal, with 49 days left in the fundraiser. To those who have donated, thank you, and please share this information and encourage you social networks to contribute. If every “liker” of the InterNetwork for Youth Facebook page contributed $10.00, we’d succeed with this fundraiser and provide a much-needed resource to much deserving agencies. Here are some of the comments I’ve received when contacting agencies:

  • Thank you for the offer!
  • Thank you for the opportunity to receive this very useful book.
  • Thank you for including us for this valuable information and resource!
  • Thank you!!! Our street outreach team looks forward to the updated version to replace our tattered copy that is used now.

Thank you for your support! Let’s make this happen.
