Due to several people thinking we could save Nessa's leg, Ark decided to get a 2nd opinion. The 2nd opinion - We are going to keep Nessa comfortable and work with her to try to save her leg and foot. Their is no way to save her toes. This vet thinks maybe she got it stuck in a trap and no circulation to her toes is what has caused this wound. We are going to give it a month and see what happens and best case is she goes in gets her toes trimmed up and becomes toeless Nessa but will still have her paw and leg. Worst case is their is still a strong possibility for loss of her leg. We want to do what is best for and although Nessa does not need her leg to thrive, we think that saving her leg is in the best interest of Nessa. We will continue to post updates on Nessa's progress. We are going to end this fundraiser for right now as the money raised will go to her 2 vet appointments and medical needs in the coming month. In a months time when Nessa goes back in to have her foot evaluated to see if we can save her paw or have to amputate her leg, we will get a new quote and reopen her fundraiser.
